Allistair has 20 years experience of working in a wide variety of roles with some of the best local and national undertakers, cemeteries and crematoria in London.  He regards it as the highest honour to be able to serve people at one of the most difficult, life-changing moments in their own lives.  He believes in empowering people, so they have control and are able to have the funeral they want and need.

Lara-Rose is a Trainee Anatomical Pathology Technologist at a hospital mortuary in London.

Jeremy Field is the youngest person to be appointed to the role of President of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), he follows in his father Colin’s footsteps who held the role 29 years ago.

Day to day Jeremy is a managing director of funeral directors CPJ Field, based in Burgess Hill, which last year celebrated its 325 year anniversary.

There is a strong focus on family and Jeremy himself has three children which also leads to a busy home life.

Something the family firmly believe and say a lot is that they are merely caretakers of the business for the next generation, which is probably why they have been in business since 1690.  “Taking on the family business comes with much responsibility. But if you can make an impact and leave the business in a better condition than when you inherited it, you’ve done a good job” However, it’s more than being a funeral director, it’s about understanding people, having a conversation, remembering that “because every life is unique”.
