The many faces of death can be found within South London's Dulwich Picture Gallery. From the Mausoleum where the founders of the Gallery are buried to commemorative portraits throughout the galleries.
On the evening of Friday 3rd November, you're invited to explore our complex and contradictory attitudes to death through the paintings in the collection and the Gallery’s own architecture in this Gallery Late: Death: A Portrait.
As part of the Gallery Late, Life. Death. Whatever. will be taking over the beautiful Christ's Chapel to present a candlelit installation of inspiring and thought-provoking voices from around the world, sharing their experiences of death and dying, life and living. The voices will be curated by funeral director Louise Winter and end-of-life doula Anna Lyons.
The Coffin Playroom (sponsored by Greenfield Coffins) and Unsaid will be installed in the gallery.
£12 standard entrance fee. Please book tickets in advance here.
