1. The funeral will either make or break you. For me, it made me realise that I was going to be okay. Standing up and reading the eulogy I'd spent weeks painstakingly writing reminded me of the strong person my mum made me.

2. You'll resent it when you see people taking their mums for granted. You'll want to scream at them and tell them not to waste the precious time that they have.

3. People will tell you, "22... that so young to not have a mum". Don't you think I already know that? Don't you think that thought haunts my every waking moment?

4. You'll want to lash out, push people away and try to deal with it all yourself. Your friends and family only want to be there for you and to help you through the worst moments of your life.

5. I'm a lot stronger than I thought I was, and that's all thanks to her. She made me into the person I am today and I hope she'd be proud of who I am today.

About Lauren Noble
”My name is Lauren. I'm a regular 23 year old from Wales. In October 2019, I had to say goodbye to my mum. She had cystic fibrosis, but it was lung cancer that eventually got her. I know that everyone says that their mum is the best, but I'll fiercely tell anyone who'll listen that mine definitely was.”
